05 Apr Show Us The Father
I recently picked up my 5-year-old son from school and as soon as he got into the car, he made a strange request. He said, “Dad, can you please show me Jesus?” I chuckled a little bit and thought to myself, wow, what a really odd request for a five year old to make. So I replied, “Son one day, when you get really, really old, Jesus will call you home and then you will be able to see Him face to face!” But for him my answer wasn’t good enough. He continued to ask me with the purest intentions, “Dad I really want to see Jesus!” Over and over he would ask. This lasted for several days when finally I asked the Lord for a little help. I simply prayed, Lord what can I do? How can I fulfill his request? Right away the Lord took me to a scripture in John 14:8-9, “Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
The Holy Spirit simply whispered to me, “Bernie you can show him the Father!” I thought for a moment, how can I show him the Father? Again the gentle whisper from the precious Holy Spirit came to me and He said, “You can show him Jesus simply by the way you live your life.” The Holy Spirit continued to say to me, “You can show him Jesus by the way you relentlessly pursue Me with immovable passion and uncompromising faith. By the way you worship, pray, read your word and obey My voice! You can show him Jesus by the way you treat your wife, your kids and others. Also, by the way you sacrifice, serve and give of yourself.”
I’ve realized the majority of the world, to a certain extent, is making the same request, they’re saying, “Would somebody please Show us the Father!”
God has laid India on my heart. He has given me a burden to go and “SHOW THEM THE FATHER!” I desire to simply bring eternal salvation to their souls. To fill their empty hearts with hope, to bring joy to their despair and to bring healing to their infirmities.
As I wrote just over a week ago, it’s Gods will that not one of these little ones should perish (Matt.10:14)! God desires for the precious people of Nizamabad , India to get saved. Will you be willing to help us bring salvation to the city of Nizamabad? We have $25,000 left to raise for this week long Gospel Campaign. Please pray about helping us!
All for souls,
