13 Dec He who wins souls, is wise!
I hope this wonderful Christmas season finds you doing really well! I wanted to quickly share a scripture that just will not seem to leave my mind along with a few thoughts on it.
(Rev.14:6) 6 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people.
As John, the beloved apostle, is writing about things taking place at the very end of time, God reveals to him this awesome vision. In this vision he sees an angel having “the everlasting Gospel” in hands to preach to all of those, every nation, tribe, tongue and people, who are still on the earth. This may very well represent the last opportunity for God to “sway or capture” the hearts of His precious creation. Because immediately following this incident, the scripture clearly says the hour of judgment has come. So this could possibly be the very last time the Gospel is ever preached! The urgency here is amazing. I was reminded of time Jesus was on the cross and with just a few breaths left in Him a thief, a known sinner, asks Jesus to remember Him when He enters into His kingdom and Jesus turns and says to him, from this day on you will be with Me in paradise. Jesus was saving people up to the very end! Here God is doing the same. Attempting to save anyone/everyone who will call out! His mercy is from everlasting to everlasting!
This is the only event recorded in scripture where God has to use an angel to preach His glorious, everlasting Gospel! Up until this moment, God has always relied on people, you and I, to preach His Gospel. He relies on us daily to bring His “Everlasting Gospel” to all people, to every nation, tribe and tongue! We are to carry His message to the ends of the earth.
I believe with all that is within me that Gods desire is that we all do whatever we can, to win souls. Prov. 11:30 says, “He who wins souls, is wise!” For Paul states (2Corn.6:2), Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, today is the day of salvation! I realize there is a great urgency in the heart of God to preach the Gospel and win people to Jesus! I’ve never seen the earth as ripe for salvation as it is now. Time is short…the time is now!
As we discover a few verses down (verses 14-16), Jesus sticks His sickle into the earth and the earth was reaped.
In 2014, we have more Gospel Crusades planned than we ever have before in the history of our ministry. Would you please prayerfully consider sowing a seed into our ministry and helping us bring God’s “Everlasting Gospel” to the nations? Please help us win souls!
All for Jesus!
