03 Sep We Can’t Stay!
In less than 2 weeks we are embarking on a very busy crusade season. I must admit I can hardly wait! I know with every fiber of my being this is what God has created me for!
While reading/studying the scriptures, I came across an all to familiar story that blessed me so much. You see early on in Jesus ministry, we see Him turning cities and villages upside down for the Kingdom. His popularity skyrocketed! All the commoners and poor folks wanted Jesus to come visit their city, town or village. He represented hope, new beginnings, deliverance, performed thousands of amazing miracles (the Gospel only highlights a few) and ultimately paved a way for all of us to be saved!
People have asked me why I’m on the road so much, I simply say because this is what God has called me to do. I feel if I don’t then I’m in disobedience. Then I read this scripture, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this “PURPOSE” (quotations mine) I have come!” ~ Jesus (Mark 1:38). Another translation says, “let us go to other rural towns as well, for this is the reason I have come.” Jesus was always going where no one else wanted to go. He was without a doubt the greatest evangelist to ever walk this planet! Not only did He give His life for all of creation but He was and is the living message in which we believe, live and preach! Paul said, “We preach Christ and Christ crucified…” (1 Corn.1:23)
God has created each of us with a “divine” purpose (PS. 139:13-18, Jer. 29:11)! Mine is evangelism! Every time I’m on the crusade field, I feel there are lives hanging in the balance of eternity. This is the reason we must all go! We must do all that we can to reach as many souls as we can to Jesus!
Please keep us in your prayers as we go forth to the “Highways and By-ways” to preach Christ and Christ crucified!
All for souls!
